Jamshedpur: St. John’s High School organized a blood donation camp on its campus this Saturday under the banner of the Victor Francis Memorial. Running under the lifetime-saving motto, “Be the Reason for Someone’s Life – Donate Blood, Save Lives,” the initiative rallied the local community to promote voluntary blood donation, humanity, and social responsibility.
The drive commenced at 8:00 AM on the school premises with a ceremonial lamp-lighting ceremony. Chief Guest Dr. Ashok Jadon, Guest of Honour Sanjay Choudhary, Principal Ashu Tiwary, and the Vice Principal jointly inaugurated the camp, which the school hosted in close collaboration with the Jamshedpur Blood Bank.

Principal Ashu Tiwary, alongside the teaching and non-teaching staff, spearheaded the day’s logistics to ensure seamless operations. Throughout the camp, the school administration actively appealed to healthy, eligible citizens to join the cause, reminding attendees that a single unit of blood saves multiple lives.
By the end of the drive, 49 donors had donated blood, reflecting a strong local commitment to community welfare and healthcare support.
Experts Laud “Silent Heroes”
Sanjay Choudhary, Administrator of the Jamshedpur Blood Bank, urged regular participation in such drives. He praised the contributors as silent heroes whose kindness brings hope to families during medical emergencies.
