Jamshedpur, Sept 5: Teachers’ Day was celebrated in the true spirit of the occasion by the students of all departments of Srinatrh University on Monday, September 5 at the University Auditorium. The celebratory programme commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp by University Chairman Sukhdev Mahto and the faculty members followed by floral tributes to Dr Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan whose birth anniversary is observed as Teachers’ Day across the country.
Srinath University Chancellor Sukhdev Mahto thanked all faculties for imparting wisdom, skill and knowledge to the students to transform them into ideal citizens to contribute to the constant allround development of the nation.
Dr Bhavya Bhushan, Professor In-charge of the University observed, “Teaching is a Profession that imparts knowledge and skills and helps in building and creating other professions. We are blessed to have such talented faculties in our university. ”
Students presented a medley of entertainment events as tributes to their teachers. Vivek Kapur of the Department of Commerce and Management anchored t programme that included fun games for the faculty members, presentations to the faculty members as tokens of respect and love by the students, a skit ‘Masti Ka Pathshala,’ dances on Bollywood musical hits and other exciting cultural items
Chanceller of Srinath University, Sukhdev Mahto presented gifts to the teachers as tokens of appreciation. Mussarat Sultana from the Department of Education presented the vote of thanks.
