Jamshedpur: The second day of the summer camp, ‘Venture 23’ commenced with yoga exercises followed by a function that saw the faculty and participating students paying tribute to ‘Kobi Guru’ Rabindranath Tagore on the occasion of his 162nd birth anniversary, the 25th day of Boishakh, which according to the English calendar this year coincides with May 9. Floral tributes were offered on the occasion followed by cultural presentations on Tagore’s songs and dances presented with grace and aplomb by the teachers and students of Srinath Public School in Adityapur.
The art and craft activities on the second day of ‘Venture-23’ included puppetry, finger print and glass paintings, pottery and mug painting. According to one of the event guides, “The co-curricular activities aim at developing inventiveness, spontaneity, language interaction, social field enhancement, decision making and risk taking skills.” Participants at the summer camp were taught to develop their skills in logical approach to finding solutions as they practiced Sudoku, puzzle and abacus.
