Sri Satya Sai Sanjivani Hospital performs 30,000 free heart surgeries

Jamshedpur, April 14: Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, with branches across Nava Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Khargar (Maharashtra), Palwal (Haryana), and Koudapaka (Telangana), has achieved a significant milestone in pediatric healthcare. Over the past 12 years, the hospital, under the Sri Satya Sai Health and Education Trust, has successfully performed 30,000 free heart surgeries on children, including those from various states of India and abroad.

Notably, more than 1,500 children from Jharkhand have benefited from these life-saving procedures. In a healthcare landscape where financial constraints often hinder access to essential services, Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital stands out for offering comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care at no cost. Moreover, over 2,45,000 children have received outpatient treatment, while medical camps in rural and tribal areas have served over 2,60,000 women and children.

Under the leadership of Dr. C. Srinivas, Chairman of Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust, the hospitals perform approximately 500 free pediatric cardiac surgeries monthly, addressing congenital heart defects across India. In addition to four Pediatric Heart Hospitals, the Trust has established five Maternal and Child Hospitals under the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani banner nationwide.

Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Jamshedpur, commenced its services in September 2022 and has since provided over 13,000 ophthalmic outpatient consultations, 15,000 OBG outpatient consultations, conducted 1,400 outpatient screenings, and facilitated over 630 deliveries, all free of charge. Plans are underway to expand services, including the introduction of a screening facility for children with congenital heart disease.
