Seraikela, Aug 29: National Sports Day was observed with fervour at the 196 CRPF battalion in Dugni, Seraikela, on Thursday. A sports competition was also organized to mark the launch of Fit India Movement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. The participants remembered Major Dhyanchand and his great contributions in the field of sports.
Addressing the gathering, Second-In-Command of CRPF Pankaj Kumar said a fit body has a fit mind. He said there is a close relationship between success and fitness in every field including sports. All participants took a pledge to remain fit mentally and physically. In Dalbhanga too, the CRPF organized a football camp.
Other dignitaries present during the programme included Deputy Commandant Amit Kumar Jha, Subedar Major Surjeet Singh, Lal Bahadur Singhdeo and Durga Haiburu.
