Seraikela, Jan 10: A 42-year-old resident of Seraikela, identified as Shiv Sen died after he fell from a bike and came in contact with a speeding truck near Muria along Seraikela-Kandra Road under Seraikela thana area on Saturday late night.
According to report, Shiv Sen was riding a pillion on a bike rode by his cousin brother Trilochan Nayak (39) and was returning from his sister home in Tiring in Odisha and near Muria their bike lost control on a speed breaker on the Seraikela-Kandra Road and Shiv Sen lost his balance and fell on the road.
A speeding truck coming from behind and going towards Jamshedpur bearing registration number JH12-C 4628 crushed Shiv Sen making him die on the spot. After the incident the truck driver left the vehicle and fled from the spot.
Soon after the incident, BJP Gamharia block leader Ranjit Baraik informed the local thana to arrange for sending the body of the deceased and the injured Trilochan Nayak to the Seraikela Sadar Hospital.
Seraikela police have seized the truck and lodged a case against the driver of the truck and handed over body of the deceased to the relatives after conducting post mortem on Sunday.
The injured Trilochan Nayak said that both were native of Badia in Mosaboni and were currently staying in Rahargora in Kandra and engaged in private work and were returning home in Kandra when the mishap took place. While the deceased Shiv Sen used to work in HP Gas Plant while Trilochan used to work Bina Tube Company.
