Noida Violence Conspiracy: NIT Jamshedpur Graduate arrested in Tamil Nadu

Jamshedpur

In a major breakthrough, police have arrested Aditya Anand—an engineering graduate from National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur—who is believed to be the second most prominent figure behind the conspiracy to incite violence in industrial areas under the guise of labour movements. He was apprehended during a joint operation by the UP STF and Noida Police at Tiruchirappalli Railway Station in Tamil Nadu late Friday night around 2:00 AM.

Aditya, also known by the alias ‘Rusty’, had been evading arrest for several days. A non-bailable warrant and a reward of ₹1 lakh had already been declared against him.

Changed Appearance to Dodge Arrest

In an attempt to conceal his identity, Aditya had cut his hair and was living in Chennai under a false identity. Sources revealed that he was planning to travel to Kerala and subsequently flee the country via a sea route. However, security agencies intercepted and arrested him before he could execute his escape plan.

NIT Background, Alleged Radical Links

Originally from Hajipur in Bihar, Aditya completed his B.Tech from NIT Jamshedpur. Police investigations indicate that after arriving in Noida in June 2025, he developed links with several radical organizations and began building a network aimed at mobilizing workers.

Authorities claim that he was influenced by extremist ideology and collaborated with groups such as Mazdoor Bigul, Disha Student Organization, and Bhartiya Krantikari Mazdoor Party to expand his reach.

Digital Network Used to Incite Violence

According to investigators, Aditya worked closely with the prime accused Rupesh Rai to orchestrate violence between March 30 and April 1. After the arrest of key associates earlier this month, Aditya fled from Noida to Delhi and later to Chennai.

Police have found that he used WhatsApp groups created through QR codes to mobilize workers and incite unrest, making it difficult for authorities to track his activities.

Funding Trail Under Scanner

Police officials have stated that both Aditya and Rupesh will be taken on remand for detailed interrogation. The investigation will focus on uncovering their communication networks, funding sources, and possible links to domestic and international handlers.

“We are also probing individuals who may have provided shelter and logistical support to Aditya during his time in Tamil Nadu, as the case widens into a larger conspiracy with potential national implications,” said a senior police official.
