Two PLFI rebels nabbed, naxal literature and arms recovered from Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum

Chakradharpur, Jan 10:  Two rebels owing allegiance to People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) were caught by security forces at Lowahatu forest areas in the rebel hit Taibo police station area of Chakradharpur sub-division in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand during a search operation.

According to sub divisional police officer Chakradharpur , Nathu Singh Meena, the two rebels have been identified as Sirka Topno (31) and Prabhu Sahay Purty (32). Both are residents of Taibo thana area. Police have also recovered a country made gun, a bike, a battery charger, wireless set, 10 mobiles and outlawed PLFI literature and other items from their possession.

The police said that they had got tip-off that PLFI outfit led by Harsingh Sandi Purty and his few men were active in the Taibo valley area in Lowahatu forest area and acting on this tip-off they planned a joint combing operation with Chaibasa police and CRPF 60 battalion jawans and caught hold of two rebels fleeing on a bike.

The two rebels admitted that they were engaged for collection of levy from contractors, brick kiln owners, arranging ration for the rebels and providing information about police to the rebels. A case has been registered against both at the Taibo thana.
