Special Banking Camps in Jamshedpur on August 8

Jamshedpur: A series of special banking camps will be held in 19 panchayats of East Singhbhum district on Friday, August 8, with the aim of expanding financial inclusion and connecting more citizens to government welfare schemes.

These camps will facilitate registrations under key financial schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), and the Atal Pension Yojana (APY). In addition, essential banking services such as Re-KYC and Nominee Updates will also be available on-site.

To enhance digital awareness, the camps will also offer guidance on digital transactions, cyber security, and financial literacy, especially targeting rural residents who often lack easy access to such services.

The camps will be organised in the following panchayats: Jhantijharna, Baghbera (East), Gadda (South), Bhula, Simdi, Khairbani, Guhiyapal, Oriya, Malkundi, Ghaghidih (North), Maubhandaar West, Karandih (South), Pathra, Sarjamda (North), Mediya, Chhota Govindpur (South), Haludbani (Middle), Kalapathar, and Kheduwa.

Local representatives, panchayat functionaries, and residents are urged to take part in the initiative and encourage wider participation, ensuring that maximum people benefit from these government-backed banking and insurance services.
