Jamshedpur, Aug 14: The Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway is on high alert having taken all security measures to counter disruptive actions of extremists who will observe August 15 as Black Day. The extremists may resort to pasting posters on government buildings and destroy railway property. Armed personnel have been placed along tracks and adequate arrangements have been made to protect rail stations, tracks and trains from extremist carnage.
At Tatanagar, two RPF officers, 15 jawans including RPF and RPSF personnel constitute the team that will be fully prepared to start movement on command. Similarly, CRPF and RPSF officers and jawans have been posted at Sini, Dongowapusi, Chakradharpur, Manoharpur, Bandamunda, Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Asanbani, Adityapur, Kandra, Rajkharsawan, Bimlagarh, Chaibasa and Banspani stations. The extremists may attack any place, any time on Independence Day for which the Railway authorities are not taking any chances. The GRP, RPF and RPSF personnel have been provided BP jackets, Walky-Talky sets, helmets and other protective gear and posted at strategic points to counter terrorist acts.
