Slow census work draws warning in Jamshedpur’s Mango

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, Nov 22: Under the Mango Municipal Corporation’s pre-test census exercise, Charge Officer Chandan Kumar conducted field inspections on Thursday to review ongoing enumeration work. Kumar visited several localities and interacted with enumerators and supervisors to assess the progress of data collection.

During the inspection, he expressed dissatisfaction over the slow pace of work by a few enumerators. Officials said Kumar firmly instructed them to improve their performance immediately, warning that explanation notices would be issued if the pace did not pick up.

He directed all teams to ensure that the census pre-test is completed “under any circumstances” by the 30th of this month. Enumerators and supervisors were present during the inspection.
