Jamshedpur, November 11. A special meeting of Tata Steel management and Joint Workers Council (JWC) of the union regarding Tata Main Hospital was held in the TMH conference room on Saturday.
Tata Steel Medical Services general manager Sudhir Rai, Tata Workers Union general secretary Satish Kumar Singh, chief group industrial relation and rewards Rahul Dubey, joint consultation head Sudhir Kumar Singh attended the meeting which discussed problem faced with people’s booking in the hospital OPD.
The general manager said that the slot has been increased by 20 percent. The union put forth the demand to improve the OPD booking system. During this, a report was also presented that the patients have declared the food to be satisfactory. Its quality has improved a lot.
The problem of removing of health insurance was also discussed. On this the general manager said that many insurance companies are approaching the hospital management. They have also been included. During this, it was agreed to operate the insurance desk 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
It was decided that the floor manager concept in the hospital was brought to TMH, which would act as a bridge between the patient and TMH.
Its number has increased to 22 and they will have a dress code and also a batch. The concept of floor manager is also being introduced in OPD. During this, the issue was also raised that nursing staff do not stay in B shift, which has been implemented.
A demand was also made that blood collection should be taken at Tube Works Dispensary. It was also told here that the work of construction of new building of ground plus six floors will start in the next two months. During this, people said that the employees or patients should get their X-ray film while radiology report should also be given.
Apart from this, the complaint of taking a lot of time at the time of discharge was also resolved and it was said that the time of discharge is being reduced.
