Guwahati/Kolkata, Sep 23 (IANS) Soldiers on Friday shot dead six Karbi militants in Assam’s East Karbi Anglong district, the defence ministry said.
All the militants belonged to the Karbi People Liberation Tigers (KPLT).
Two rifles, three pistols and two grenades were recovered from the dead men. The operation against the militants was in progress, a ministry spokesperson said.
