Sitaramdera firing: TI parade held in Ghaghidih jail

Jamshedpur, Dec 18: A TI parade was conducted at Ghaghidih Central Jail in connection with the firing on Jharkhand Sikh Pratinidhi Board president Gurucharan Singh Billa on 9th November last. Billa and his wife Gurpreet Kaur identified the accused shooters in the case, Uttam Panda alias Budha and Raj Kishore Mahato in the presence of a magistrate.

Armed assailants had shot at Billa on his way to Sitaramdera Gurudwara. Police arrested the alleged shooters on Sunday last and produced them in the court on Monday. They had earlier arrested Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Pradhan Gurmukh Singh Mukhe and Amarjeet Singh Ambe in connection with the incident on 19th November last. Ambe reportedly told police the names of shooters during interrogation, police said.

Billa�s wife Gurpreet Kaur had lodged an FIR against the culprits at Sitaramdera police station. She said she was going to Sitaramdera Gurudwara with her husband around 4 am on the day of incident. As the couple walked past the police station, four criminals riding two bikes intercepted them. A Bolero also stopped there. Mukh and Ambe were present in the vehicle, Gurpreet Kaur told police officials.
