Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, Dec 18: Sandhya aarati was performed at Sidhi Vinayak temple of the Hindu Peeth at Bistupur on Wednesday. A large number of devotees were present on this occasion.

Some of the devotees alleged that attempts were being made to disrupt peaceful puja at the temple through construction of a boundary wall around the temple building. They said the possibility of a political conspiracy behind the incident could not be ruled out.

Arun Singh, president of the Hindu Peeth, said the construction of boundary wall around the temple in the presence of police and private security personnel was aimed at hurting Hindu sentiments.

Some of the devotees said it was difficult for them to perform parikrama (revolution) of the temple. They said the administration should not have built the boundary wall so close to the main temple building.

The Hindu Peeth president said a grand Hindu Dharma Sammelan was going to be organized on the occasion of foundation day of Hindu Peeth on 25th December. All Hindus of Kolhan have been invited to attend the programme, he said.
