Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry urges Tata Steel for parking space

Jamshedpur, August 29: Mukesh Mittal, the Vice President of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PRW) in a letter to Tata Steel’s Global CEO and Managing Director, T V Narendran, requested for the provision of a parking spaces for vehicles of visitors at the Chamber Bhavan.

Referring to a communication of June, 2023, Mukesh Mittal highlighted that there was a regular flow of visitors who arrived at the Chamber Bhawan to attend programmes organized regularly by SCCI.  In his letter, he reasoned that due to the lack of designated space near the SCCI Building, visitors had no other option but to park their vehicles along the main road. “Due to the rise in vehicle count, the road near and in front of the Chamber Bhawan, has been seeing growing congestion due to the absence of parking spaces. In addition, several other establishments including banks’ branches attract several visitors, whose vehicles too are parked along the main road, adding to congestion and traffic bottlenecks.”

The SCCI Vice President (PRW), referring to the problems pointed out in the letter, requested that the unused parking area on Bistupur R. Road be allocated for the convenience of visitors to Chamber Bhavan. Mittal assured that the SCCI would construct and maintain a suitable parking facility at that location.

In his letter, Mukesh Mittal highlighted Tata Steel’s consistent support towards the activities of SCCI and expressed the hope that the request for parking space at Chamber Bhavan, based on the urgency of the matter, would be considered as a top priority.
