Jamshedpur, July 8: Simran Saggu took charge as the new president of Rotary club of Jamshedpur Steel City during the installation ceremony held at a city hotel on Sunday.
The chief guest for the occasion was Jamshedpur SSP Anoop Birtharay. Senior SP who had earlier been posted at various Maoists infected district of Jharkhand, spoke about how to improve the life of the children of Maoists and also of kids living in Left Wing Extremism (LWE)-affected districts of Jharkhand so that they can have better future.
The outgoing president Hetal Adeshra who bagged several awards by the district for her remarkable and note worthy service projects handed over the badge to the incoming president Simran Saggu. The new board for 2019 – 2020 was installed with Nikita Mehta taking over as secretary.
Hetal Adesra also gave a presentation on various projects undertaken by the club last year and spoke about the awards and accolades won by the club at district level.
Newly appointed president Simran Saggu spoke about her plans for upcoming year and said, ‘I have already started work on my dream project “Wahan Project”‘.
