Siksha Niketan School students collect warm clothing for poor

Jamshedpur, Dec 16: Teachers and students of Siksha Niketan in Telco launched massive drive to collect discarded, old clothes from residents of several localities of this township. The material collected was donated to social organization �Ek Nayi Udaan.� School Principal Sumita Dey, Vice Principal Rajni Pandey, President Suman Pandey, Secretary Pravin Kumar, Media in-charge Manish Agrawal and other teachers participated in this drive conducted by the school�s students.

Speaking on the occasion to the students, Sumita Dey said, �The spirit our students have shown today speaks miles of their sense of commitment towards their financially weak brethrens. You should, along with your studies, should participate in activities for social causes.�

Sumita was full of praise for social organization, �Ek Nayi Udaan� and assured the organization that Siksha Niketan would collaborate with them in their future social endeavors. The collection drive was coordinated by teacher Punam Chowdhary.
