Jamshedpur, Nov 12: All India Sikh Students Federation, Eastern India president Satnam Singh Gambhir has sent a legal notice to film actress Kangana Ranaut, asking her to withdraw her statement and apologise to the nation. The notice has been sent through Jharkhand High Court advocate Diwakar Upadhyay.
Gambhir has protested against the actress’s statement that in 1947, the country got freedom through begging, the real freedom was found in 2014. Gambhir said that the statement is an insult to thousands of martyrs including Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru Sukhdev, who sacrificed their life to make the country free. Kangana should apologise to the whole country within 15 days and if she does not take back her statement, then a complaint will be lodged against her through Jharkhand High Court advocate Diwakar Upadhyay.
