Jamshedpur: City police here on Saturday took Sibu Karua, one of the accused in the lynching of innocent youths at Nagadih under Bagbera PS, on a remand for three days.
During interrogation, the accused has reportedly spilled the beans and told the police a great deal about the various facts related to the lynching incident. He has also reportedly told police names of culprits involved in the gruesome killing of four persons in Nagadih.
Sources said Sibu had claimed he was not involved in assaulting the victims. He reportedly told police about one Srijan, son of Alhan Mardi, who had snatched keys from the police vehicle and assaulted on duty cops.
Cops said Sibu had told them about the involvement of people from several adjoining villages including Kacha, Jagannathpur, Keruadungri, Ranidih and Ghaghidih.
Police officials said they would soon be taking the Mukhiya of Keruadungri panchayat Rajaram Hansda and Gopal Hansda on remand.
A mob had killed Gautam Verma, Vikas Verma and Gangesh Gupta on 18th May last in Nagadih. They had also assaulted Ramsakhi Devi, grandmother of Verma brothers, in the incident.
The old lady died after a month of the incident at Tata Main Hospital. Police have named 17 persons in the FIR in this connection. So far, 11 people have been sent to jail in this case.
