122 magistrates and 1500 cops for Eid and Rathyatra security

Jamshedpur: Massive security arrangements have been made in the city in view of Eid and Rathyatra. District administration will be deputing 122 magistrates and over 1500 police personnel at various sensitive places during the festivities.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Amit Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anoop T Mathew here on Saturday issued a joint order regarding security arrangements and deputation of magistrates and cops.

As per the order, executive magistrate Rajshree Lalita and R Bakhla will be in-charge of Crime Control Room (CCR).

The sub divisional officers of Dhalbhum and Ghatsila will be in-charge of the law and order situation of their respective areas.

ADM law and order, SP City and SP Rural will be in-charge of the law and order machinery all over the district. The DC and the SSP have asked all magistrates and police officers to remain alert and inform the senior officials and the CCR immediately about any untoward incident during the festivals.

Magistrates will be deputed in the CCR round the clock. Magistrates have been deputed at the Ghatsila sub divisional office for 24 hours.

They have been asked to ensure coordination with the local police station officials and conduct patrolling in their respective areas, sources said.
