Shyama Prasad High School alumni meet on Dec 30

Jamshedpur: The Shyama Prasad High School Alumni will celebrate the fourth annual get-together at the school premises on December 30, Sunday. The meet will be held from 9 am to 5 pm. The program will be termed�Chhele Byala� or, Childhood. The moments from school life including study, sports and using spare time would be replicated from books and comics on flex print.

The alumni association secretary Trideb Chattaraj gave the information at a press meet organized at The Milanee.

He said that the school, established in 1953 to impart Bengali education. He observed, �Bengali medium schools are gradually facing closure in Jharkhand. It is our endeavor to ensure the continuity of this rich Bengali tradition so that forthcoming generations continue to learn the language.�

Tideb Chattoraj said that right from 1955 to 2018, former students have more than 500 alumni associations spread across the country. All delegates from these 500 associations will be participating in the event.

President Chandan Chakraborty, Sanyukta Dasgupta, Anjan Mukherjee, Sujit Das, Sumit Roy Chowdhury, Sampa Dey and Sudipto Dey were present during the press meet.
