Shyam devotees ring in New Year 2017 at Bhatli Dham

Jamshedpur, Jan 1: Shyam devotees of Jamshedpur, under the aegis of Shree Shyam Bhatli Pariwar Charitable Trust, Tatanagar, welcomed New Year 2017 at Bhatli Dham (Odisha) during a religious programme organised on December 31, 2016. On the occasion a new hall specially for the women devotees was also inaugurated.

The Pariwar organizes New Year celebration every year. Famous singers including Navin Sharma from Jaipur, Manish Sharma from Kolkata, Kemita Rathor from Udaipur, along with Jamshedpur�s very own Mahabir Agarwal, Neeraj Jalan, Anis Garodia presented religious hymns. The singers enthralled the devotees. Amid the bhajans, at 12 in the midnight, a cake cutting ceremony along with fireworks rolled into the New Year 2017 and bid adieu to 2016.

According to the organizers around 250 devotees from Tatanagar, Chandil, Musabani, Chakulia, Dhalbhumgarh, Sini, Kolkata, Rourkela and Seraikela reached the Bhatli Dham boarding Samaleshwari Express.

Talking about the event, Rajesh Pasari, president of Bhatli Pariwar Charitable Trust, said, like previous five years, the celebration concluded successfully.

The main attraction of the religious programme was Grand Durbar of Bhatli Shyam Baba, fireworks, Chappan Bhog, Akhand Jyot, cake along with Shyam Rasoi Prasad. Devotees in large numbers had gathered at the venue.
