Jamshedpur: The Shri Shyam Seva Sangh will organize the 17th Shyam Mahotsav at Rocky Maidan near the Sonari Junior Carmel School on Friday, December 21. Preparations for the religious event have been completed.
The main attraction during the Mahotsav will be the Rajasthani Dhamaal and Lord Shri Shyam�s Gajra Mahotsav. The program will be in two parts.
The first part will comprise a huge procession to be taken out from Sonari Ram Mandir at 12:30 pm and will proceed through the main road and culminate at the Rocky Maidan. About 501 women devotees will participate in the procession.
The second phase will commence at 8:30 pm with the singing of devotional songs and the program is expected to continue till 2 am. The main attraction will be the Akhand Jyot, well decorated pandal with attractive lighting, Chhappan Bhog, Maha Arti.
The Bhajan singers will comprise Kolkata artistes Rupam-Shubham and Kumar Dipak. Local singers Mahavir Agrawal and Rohit Gulati will also sing devotional songs.
The officials Shyam Seva Sangh, Sonari have requested all devotees to attend the Utsav.
