Show-cause notice Golmuri PS in-charge for failure to present witnesses

Jamshedpur, July 26: The ADJ-2 court, led by Aabhas Verma, has issued a show-cause notice to the Golmuri police station in-charge for not presenting witnesses in a case involving a severe attack on Anurag Mishra. During a hearing on Friday, it was noted that none of the witnesses had testified, despite their presence in Vikas Colony and a court order to produce them. The High Court has underlined that it is the responsibility of the police station in-charge to ensure that witnesses are brought to court.

The case centers on an incident reported by Anurag Mishra, who claimed that his neighbor Mukhtar Singh, along with his daughters and others, began abusing him. When Mishra sought to understand the reason behind the abuse, Mukhtar Singh’s daughter allegedly grabbed his hand, prompting Mukhtar Singh to strangle her with the intent to kill and assault Mishra. Mishra’s sister-in-law, Chandan Kumar, was also injured while attempting to intervene. The accused in this case are Mukhtar Singh and Bablu Rai, also known as Mukesh Kumar.
