Jamshedpur, May 10: Tension prevailed on Sunday morning at a resort near Dimna Lake after villagers alleged that immoral activities, including prostitution, were being carried out on the premises.
Angry residents stormed the Lake View Resort located in Gerua village under Bota Panchayat in Bodam police station area and reportedly found three young couples in objectionable condition inside separate rooms.
According to local sources, one additional couple managed to flee the spot before villagers could apprehend them.

The incident occurred around 10.30 am, triggering a major commotion in the area.
Villagers claimed that unethical activities had been taking place at the resort for the past six months and that repeated complaints had been made to local authorities, but no concrete action was taken. Frustrated by the alleged inaction, a large number of residents gathered at the resort and staged a protest.
During the unrest, resort manager Santosh Giri was allegedly assaulted by the agitated crowd before police intervened and rescued him.

On receiving information, Bodam police reached the spot and detained the three couples for questioning.
However, villagers refused to allow anyone to leave until the resort owner was called to the scene, demanding the permanent closure of the establishment.
The manager informed police that the resort belongs to Vinod Singh, a resident of Dhanbad. He also stated that a Patanjali medical centre operates on one side of the premises, while the resort functions on the other.
Police reportedly recovered several objectionable items during a search of the rooms. An investigation into the allegations is currently underway.
