Jamshedpur Blood Bank honoured by Tata Motors Workers Union

Jamshedpur: The Tata Motors Workers Union felicitated the entire team of the Jamshedpur Blood Bank on Saturday, recognizing their pivotal role in managing high-volume voluntary blood donations and their consistent service to the community. The ceremony, held at the blood bank auditorium, celebrated a significant milestone reached during this year’s Founder’s Day celebrations.

A Record-Setting Partnership

The felicitation follows the historic blood donation drive held on March 3, where the Tata Motors Workers Union, supported by the Jamshedpur Blood Bank team, collected a record 3,140 units of blood in a single day.

Union President Shashi Bhushan Prasad and General Secretary R.K. Singh honoured the blood bank’s doctors, paramedical staff, and employees, commending their professionalism and dedication to the life-saving cause.

Motivation for Healthcare Heroes

Chief Guest Ruchi Narendran, Chairperson of Jamshedpur Blood Bank, praised the union’s initiative to acknowledge frontline healthcare workers. She noted that such recognition serves as a powerful motivator for the staff to maintain their high standards of service.

“The union has been doing exemplary work in the field of blood donation, and this momentum should continue,” Narendran stated, highlighting the long-standing collaboration between the industrial workforce and the medical institution.

Commitment to Public Service

General Secretary R.K. Singh lauded the blood bank for carving a unique identity through its cooperative spirit. He emphasized that the success of their massive annual donation drives relies heavily on the seamless coordination provided by the blood bank’s technical and administrative teams.

The event saw attendance from several dignitaries, including Secretary Nalini Ramamurthy, GM Sanjay Chowdhary, Tata Motors DGM (CSR) Allen Joseph, and Senior Manager (ER) Anchal Sinha, alongside various union committee members.
