Jamshedpur: Several persons were injured and vehicles were damaged at Abdul Bari Memorial College in Golmuri on Thursday after a mob took to stone-pelting.
Cops said the mob comprising local residents pelted stones on the college premises at the behest of one of the students. The accused student was asked to leave the college campus when he was sitting in the college with a girl. Irked over the incident, he went to the basti behind the college and asked several youths to accompany him to the college.
The stone pelters escaped soon after police reached the venue. An FIR was lodged against unidentified persons in this connection.
