Seraikela-Kharsawan prepared against Covid surge: CS

Seraikela, Dec 24: Seraikela-Kharsawan district health department has pulled its socks to deal with any impending surge in Covid-19 cases. District Civil Surgeon Dr Vijay Kumar said a number of measures had been taken to deal with emergency situations. He said testing of two oxygen plants at Seraikela Sadar Hospital and Kuchai had been started. He said oxygen pipeline had been connected to every bed in the Sadar Hospital which has a total capacity of 100 beds. There are over 100 ventilators available in the district, he said.

Dr Kumar said all visitors to hospitals were being instructed to wear masks and follow the Covid-19 protocol. He said the Covid wards in all hospitals were being readied. He advised people with cough and cold symptoms to undergo medical examination and treatment.
