PLFI leader Mangal Singh arrested after eight years

Chaibasa, Dec 24: West Singhbhum police arrested absconding PLFI member Mangal Singh Tubid alias Bora, 32, from Chaibasa after eight years on Friday. The accused was forwarded to judicial custody, said SP, West Singhbhum.

The accused had allegedly taken the officials and employees of Mines Safety Directorate who had come to inspect Roro Asbestos Mine in December 2014. An FIR was lodged against the accused on 4^th December 2014. The accused absconded after the incident and could not be traced all these years, cops said.

A joint team of West Singhbhum police, CRPF 157 Battalion and Jharkhand Jaguar arrested Tubid, sources said.
