Seraikela, May 17: State health minister Banna Gupta reviewed the Covid management done in Seraikela Kharsawan district through a virtual meeting on Sunday which was attended by district deputy commissioner Arava Rajkamal and other senior officials of the administration and health department.
The deputy commissioner informed about the increase of oxygen supported bed, ventilators, vaccination campaign, sample testing and checking done for compliance of Covid protocols.
The deputy commissioner also informed about door to door survey done for three days in all villages about how many people have taken vaccines, if any person had Covid symptoms in the last 10 days, any death in the family in the last 30 days and reason of death, Vaccination campaign is being done in panchayat level too with awareness in local dialect.
The minister asked the officials to make people understand about the importance of lockdown in breaking the Covid infection chain and if any persons violates then take legal action as per provision of the necessary disaster management Act. He also asked for better coordination among various government departments to fight against Covid pandemic and suggested for different action plan for rural and urban areas against Covid pandemic.
The minister advised the district drug inspector to monitor the availability and stock register of essential drugs in medicine stores to avoid blackmarketing of drugs for Covid.
The minister said that they will be undertaking efforts to ensure ambulance at thana levels across the state for healthcare needs and the thana officials need to prepare a list of government and private ambulances available in their area so that people can use it during emergency.
