City records 208 infections, 521 recoveries, 7 deaths
Jamshedpur, May 16: Jamshedpur registered more recoveries than fresh Covid-19 cases on Sunday when 208 new cases were detected and 521 people recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours, according to the health bulletin. The recovery rate has climbed to 88.54 % while the active cases have come down to 4589.
Jamshedpur continues to witness dip in the daily Covid-19 cases.
A day after 297 positive cases were reported, Jamshedpur recorded 208 positive cases while 521 people recovered of the virus on Sunday pushing the recovery mark to 40955 while the active cases have come below 4600 mark.
Deaths due to the virus continue to be sign of worry as 7 people succumbed due to Covid on Sunday, May 16, East Singhbhum Covid bulletin said.
During this period, a total of 2386 Covid
tests were conducted in Jamshedpur.
City reported 7 deaths on Sunday while district’s positive cases tally has mounted to 46464. According to the data provided by the East Singhbhum district health department on Sunday 7 fatalities were due to the Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours. The death toll has climbed to 920. The total active cases have come down to 4589.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 315864 test per million in the district. Kadma and Sidhgora locality of Steel City continues to be a Covid hotspot as 21 and 25 fresh infections were reported on Sunday.
As per the records of health department out of 2386 people who underwent Covid tests in East Singhbhum 208 were found positive.
As many as 409555 people have recovered from COVID-19 so far with 521 recoveries recorded in the last 24-hours. Over 2300 COVID-19 tests, including 966 RT-PCR and 993 RAT were conducted in the last 24 hours in the city.
The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 88.54% while the mortality rate is 1.98%.
So far in Jamshedpur 850212 amples have been collected out of which 840829 have been tested and 794365 have turned out to be negative.
