Seraikela, Nov 18: District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla convened a meeting with officials to review preparations for the forthcoming vote counting. He emphasized strict adherence to Election Commission guidelines and warned against any negligence in vote-counting procedures.
The DC instructed officials to ensure transparency and comprehensive security at the counting venue. Essential arrangements, including water, electricity, furniture, signage, and digital screens, were discussed. He also reviewed plans for a media center, internet facilities, fire safety measures, strong room security, and postal ballot counting.
Necessary training for deputation personnel has been scheduled as follows:
- November 19:
- Micro Observer Training: 10:00 am–2:00 pm at Diamond Jubilee Lecture Hall, NIT Adityapur.
- Counting Supervisor Training: 11:00 am–2:00 pm at NR Plus Two High School, Saraikela.
- Counting Assistant Training: 11:00 am–2:00 pm at NR Plus Two High School, Saraikela.
- November 21:
- Micro Observer Training: 10:00 am–2:00 pm at Diamond Jubilee Lecture Hall, NIT Adityapur.
- Counting Supervisor Training: 11:00 am–2:00 pm at NR Plus Two High School, Saraikela.
- Counting Assistant Training: 11:00 am–2:00 pm at NR Plus Two High School, Saraikela.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Prabhat Kumar Bardiyar, Project Director ITDA Ashish Agarwal, Assistant Additional Collector Kumar Rajat, District Deputy Election Officer Surendra Oraon, and other key officials.
