Seraikela, July 14: The body of a 10 year-old boy, identified as Bittu Khandelwal, son of Sapan Khandelwal, was recovered from Chaliama in Tumung panchayat under Rajnagar police station area of Seraikela-Kharsawan late Wednesday evening.
Sources said the body was found in the bushes. Bittu had gone missing two days back. Failing to get the boy, his parents lodged a police complaint. Later, few local residents spotted the minor’s body lying in the bushes. The body bore injuries on the head. Cops suspect the boy was killed brutally. They however said that they were awaiting the autopsy report to arrive at any conclusion.
Sources said Bittu had gone out of his house around 2 pm. The minor’s mother asked him to first have his lunch but he insisted on having it after sometime, sources said.
Police sent the body to MGM Medical College for autopsy.
