Seraikela SP Prashant Anand gives crime control tips to subordinates

Reviews law and order, stresses on speedy investigation and trial

Seraikela, July 14: Seraikela-Kharsawan Superintendent of Police (SP) Prashant Anand directed the officers in-charge of all police stations across the district to take stringent measures to control crime in their respective areas. He also advised them to ensure respectful and polite treatment of people visiting the police stations with complaints.

The SP convened a meeting with the DSPs, SDPOs and OCs at his office here on Thursday. He reviewed the law and order situation in the district and issued instructions regarding crime control measures needed to be taken in view of recent spurt in crimes. He advised the OCs to ensure timely disposal of cases and arresting of criminals. He said the OCs should ensure zero crime in their respective areas and warned them of action in case of dereliction in duty, sources said.

The SP heard grievances of police officers and assured to resolve them in due time. He said the officers doing good work would be rewarded. In view of spurt in thefts, he asked the officers to ensure proper patrolling in their respective areas to curb such crimes. He also directed the officers to take preventive measures against road accidents and drug addiction.

Anand directed his subordinates to probe all pending complaints and submit a report. Arrest of absconding accused persons in pending cases should be ensured and raids should be conducted to curb illegal liquor trade in the district, he said.

The SP directed the officers to conduct speedy probe in pending cases and ensure their methodical disposal.
