Security guard dies in road mishap, kin get Rs 3 lakh compensation

Jamshedpur, Feb. 17: A security guard of Ashiana Garden, Dimna Chowk died after coming in contact with a four-wheeler during duty hours on late Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Om Prakash Sharma, resident of Road No. 4, Jawahar Nagar, Mango. The locals caught the four-wheeler and handed it over to the police.

The family members of the deceased security guard informed about the incident to BJP Olidih unit. On Friday morning, headed by BJP leader Sandhya Nandi the party workers helped the family members get a compensation of Rs 3 lakh.

They called the vehicle owner to MGM Hospital and held talks regarding the compensation for the kin of the deceased security guard. The vehicle provided Rs 25 thousand cash and handed over a cheque worth Rs 1.5 lakh to the family members.

The security agency provided Rs 50 thousand cash and assured to provide Rs 25 thousand in two installments while Ashiana Garden Society provided Rs 25 thousand.

The total compensation received was Rs 3 lakh. On the occasion BJP leader Vikas SIngh, Amrendra Paswan, Shyam Singh, W Singh, Chotan Mishra, Manoj Gupta, Satyendra Singh, Rajeev Singh, Bachu Mukherjee, Pappu Srivastava, Shankar Banerjee, Animesh Sinha, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Renu Sinha and Reena Singh were present.
