Section 144 clamped in Seraikela and Chandil

Jamshedpur, June 12: Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration imposed Section 144 in Seraikela and Chandil subdivisions here on Sunday. The prohibitory orders would remain effective till next orders by the sub divisional officers (SDOs) of Seraikela and Chandil. The officers in-charge of all police stations have been entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring strict implementation of the orders.

As per the orders, unlawful gathering at public places, carrying arms, holding public meetings, rallies, protests and processions would be strictly prohibited. District administration has also appealed to people to pay no attention to rumours and abstain from posting provocative messages on social media. Loudspeakers will not be allowed from 10 pm till 6 am, sources said.
