Jamshedpur, June 17: The second phase of renovation work at Shri Laxmi Narayan Temple in Cable Town, Golmuri, is set to begin on Tuesday at 8 am. The announcement was made by Saryu Roy, Jamshedpur West MLA and coordinator of the temple renovation committee.
Roy informed that the first phase of renovation had been successfully completed, and the second phase would focus on the construction of the temple’s main spire (shikhar). The new structure would include multiple stupa-shaped domes, reflecting traditional architectural styles associated with temples of this type.
He added that once the construction of the spire was completed, the outer appearance of the temple would attain a grand and majestic look. This would be followed by detailed painting and architectural finishing work on the spire. Subsequently, the restoration of the inner dilapidated sections of the temple would begin, including renovation of the flooring, railings, and underground structures.
The commencement of the spire construction will be marked with a special morning worship ceremony conducted with full religious rituals. Members of the Shri Laxmi Narayan Temple Restoration Committee and Trust would be present to witness the occasion.
The temple, a significant religious and cultural landmark of the area, was expected to regain its former glory through this comprehensive restoration effort.
