SDSM School organizes Annual Sports meet

Jamshedpur, Dec 21: SDSM School for Excellence organized its 25^th Annual Sports Day on Wednesday, December 21 at the Tinplate Sports Complex.

The event commenced with the unfurling of the School’s sports flag by the chief guest Harjit Singh, the DGM (HRM & SS), Tinplate Co of India Ltd.  He lighted the sports’ flame and released the mascot of the school’s sports jointly with the Principal, Moushumi Das.  The exciting atmosphere at the Tinplate Ground got a boost with all the six school families (houses) joined hands to present a smart march past.

Chief guest Harjit Singh, in his address, “A healthy mind and a healthy body are the essential ingredients for allround development. I must specially congratulate the teachers for the coordinated efforts put in by the teachers for training the students. Sports infuse team work and make us learn etiquettes for fitness that ultimately lead to success.”

Special Guest, School Chairman Diwakar Singh gave away prizes to winners in different categories.

School Principal, Moushumi Das presented the trophies to winners in the various categories including Best Athlete Award, Best March Past Family, Runners Up Family and Winner family. She declared the 25^th Annual Sports Meet closed.

The winners in various categories of events included: Moon Family (overall Champion), Mountain Family (overall Champion- Runners Up); Best Athlete in Super Senior Boys’ segment (Md Kaish Ali Khan of class XII-E); Best Athlete in Super Senior Girls’ segment (P Yamini of class XII-C); Best Athlete in Senior Boys’ section (Deepak Khatri of IX-A); Best Athlete in Senior Girls’ (Bharati Thakur of X-B);  Best Athlete in Junior Boys’(Rishabh Mukhi of VIII-B); Best Athlete in Junior Girls’ section (Astuti Saloni of VII-B) and Best Family in March Past (Tree Family).
