Jamshedpur: Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Dhalbhum, Shatabdi Majumdar, conducted a surprise inspection of the old age home located in Gerua under the MGM police station area. During her visit, she reviewed the food, accommodations, and overall facilities provided to the elderly residents.

Majumdar interacted individually with the elderly residents to gather feedback on the services and living conditions. The residents shared that they receive timely meals, including breakfast and lunch, and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements. Proper facilities for their stay, such as clean bedding, warm blankets, and quilts to combat the cold, were observed.
The inspection also revealed a clean and well-maintained kitchen, and sufficient food stocks were found in the storage room. The SDO inspected the rooms, the premises, and the drinking water facilities to ensure their adequacy.
Majumdar emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and providing nutritious food to the elderly. She instructed the management to ensure the availability of all necessary facilities and to conduct regular maintenance of the premises.
The visit highlighted the administration’s commitment to the welfare of the elderly and ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for them.
