Ramgarh: A girl’s body was found floating in the in Damodar river in Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district on Tuesday morning. As the news spread, a crowd gathered on the river bank and some people informed the police about the incident.
Soon Ramgarh police reached the site and recovered the dead body from the river with the help of swimmers. The police sent the body for post-mortem at Sadar Hospital.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Shweta Panda, 19, a resident of Baungabar under Kuju police limits of this district.
According to the deceased’s family members, the girl’s father Sumanto Panda had filed a report at the Kuju OP on Monday regarding the missing of Shweta Panda. The missing report stated that Shweta left home at 9.00 am on Monday for her tuition class. However, she did not return home and her body was found the river on Tuesday. According to the police, the matter is being investigated from various angles, including love affair.
