Jamshedpur, August 17: The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has appealed to Civil Aviation Minister K.R. Naidu to establish direct air service between Ranchi and Jaipur, specifically to accommodate travelers attending the Phagan Mahotsav at Khatu Dham, Rajasthan. The SCCI has also reached out to the Prime Minister’s Office and airlines, including Air India, Vistara, and Indigo, to support this request.

SCCI President Vijay Anand Moonka and Honorary General Secretary Manav Kedia emphasized the significance of the Phagan Mahotsav, which will be held between February 15 to March 15, 2025,  will attract participants nationwide. Moonka highlighted that the lack of direct flights from Jharkhand to Jaipur forced pilgrims to endure lengthy and inconvenient travel, including stopovers in Delhi. These factors have seen to several years of demand for a direct Ranchi-Jaipur flight, which the SCCI hoped would be addressed in time for next year’s festival.
