Jamshedpur, October 2: The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has launched the ‘ChaloChale Bazaar’ campaign to counter the growing influence of online shopping and support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative. Aimed at reviving market activity during the festive season, the campaign encourages people to shop locally and support traditional businesses.
At the poster unveiling held at Chamber Bhawan in Bistupur, Chamber President Vijay Anand Moonka highlighted the impact of online shopping on traditional markets, urging people to return to local shops. Vice President Anil Modi emphasized that the campaign sought to reconnect youth and consumers with local markets. Posters will be placed in key markets and residential areas, and additional phases of the campaign will feature selfie stands and social media promotions to engage shoppers.
SCCI General Secretary Manav Kedia reiterated the importance of local traders to the economy and called for community support to make the campaign a success. The event concluded with a vote of thanks offered by Secretary Bharat Makani.
