SCCI demands check on crime

Jamshedpur, May 19: In view of the increasing incidents of thefts, dacoity and loot in Jamshedpur and the soft target being outstation traders members of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) lead by its President, Suresh Sonthalia met City SP Karthik S and submitted a demand memorandum and insisted him to take action against the culprits involved in such heinous crime.

City SP assured the traders of quick action against the offenders and told that the peace of the city and its traders will not be debilitated.

President Sonthalia said business community of Jamshedpur was extremely delighted by the successful elimination of �Lulla� and his gang and the traders had started feeling the confidence in the crime control capability of Jamshedpur Police. But acts of thefts, dacoity & loot remain unabated mentioning the event of last evening at one of the business market Jugsalai, he added that the incident has shattered the confidence of the business community.

Vice �President of SCCI, Bharat Vasani said that we have reminded City SP that Bistupur too has been a busy place for all kinds of criminals where Rs .2 lakhs were looted on the main road, just 50 meters away from the police station and several incidents of the same kind remain unresolved till now, added Vasani.

The traders outfit demanded action and resolve the cases immediately & take proper steps to restore confidence in the usines community. Notably, the incidents of theft and loot have increased manifolds during last few years in Jamshedpur, posing a serious threat to security of the denizens.
