SBI adopts digital village �Hartopa�, donates purifier

Jadugora: State Bank of India, Hartopa branch, here on Saturday donated a water purifier machine and a cupboard to Hartopa Primary School, Narwa Pahar.

The branch manager of the school, Rakesh Kumar Verma, said the bank had adopted the village as a �digital village� He said the water purifier and cupboard were donated to the village under the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative taken by the bank.

He said the village will soon be provided with wi-fi facility having a range of 300 metres. He said very soon the villagers will be able to book their railway tickets and pay electricity bills. He said the regional manager of the bank Naveen Kumar had contributed to the CSR project.

Many people were present on the occasion. They included Rakesh Kumar Mahato, Meesa Kumari, Surjeet Kumar, Malti Hansda, Rajendra Singh, Gajiya Hansda, Chandra Bardhan Singh and Rekha Minj.
