‘Save girlchild’ campaign at Hemkund Public School

Jamshedpur, Oct 23: Save girlchild programme was organized at Hemkund Public School, Golmuri, on the eve of Deepawali. It was inaugurated by the school Director Paras Nath Mishra who lit a ceremonial lamp on this occasion.

Mishra administered an oath against sex determination of foetus to all teachers and students. He informed the gathering about the PCPNDT Act. He said sex determination of the unborn child was a punishable offence. Citizns can inform the district administration about any individual or agency conducting such prohibited diagnostic tests, he said.

Mishra said women are the pillars of society and hence they need protection and patronage of one and all.
