Jamshedpur, Oct 23: Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) organized Tax Clinic at Chamber Bhawan, Bistupur. Various tax experts offered advice to traders on this occasion. Chamber vice president Dilip Golchha said the Income Tax department’s website was fully functional and that the tax refund was getting transferred to the bank accounts of taxpayers within a week of filing of the income tax return. He said the income tax department deserved praise for the efficient online system.
Chamber Secretary Piyush Kumar Choudhary also answered various queries of traders on numerous tax related issues. Several suggestions were also made regarding GST which were taken into consideration by the Chamber functionaries.
It was unanimously decided to invite expert speakers to the Chamber every fortnight and make their services available to the traders free of cost.
The traders also celebrated the birthday of Chamber president Vijay Anand Moonka by cutting a cake and congratulating him.
