Sastha Preeti celebrations: Kalash installation for 16 forms of Lord Ganesh

Jamshedpur, Jan 29: On Monday, the second day of the 76^th Sastha Preeti celebrations at Sri Dharma Sastha Temple, the prayers commenced with Havan for Maha Ganapati.  This was followed by the visiting 32 learned Ved Pandits installing 16 Kalash or urns for Maha Ganapati Maha Yagna for the 16 forms of Ganapati — Maha Ganapati, Shakti Ganapati, Herambha Ganapati, Siddhi Ganapati, Uchista Ganapati, Uttishta Ganapati, Lakshmi Ganapati, Chintamani Ganapati, Runa Hara Ganapati, Arkha Ganapati, Kshipra Ganapati, Bala Ganapati, Vidya Ganapati, Haridra Ganapati, Veera Ganapati and Ekakshara Ganapati.  The Ved Pandits also conducted Japan puja and started Chatur Laksha Havan for Ekakshara Ganapati.  They commenced Chaturdasa Sahasra Modak havan.  Sri P N Sankaran, Working President of the Temple performed Maha Aarti and the managing committee members of the Temple distributed Prasad to hundreds of devotees.

In the evening, the Ved Pandits chanted Rudra Krama Archana and passages from the Vedas.
