Jamshedpur: State Food Minister Saryu Rai and the MP of Jamshedpur Vidyut Varan Mahato jointly laid the foundation stone for a bridge at Moon City near Dimna Road on Friday.
The bridge will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 3.35 crore by the Urban Development Department in collaboration with the Rural Development Department under the Mukhyamantri Gram Setu Yojana. It will link Khariya Busti to Baliguma Bagan Area.
Rai said the proposed bridge would facilitate easy road communication between Moon City and Khariya Busti. He said the bridge would be ready before the rainy season.
The special officer of Mango Notified Area Committee Jagdish Yadav and assistant engineer of Rural Development Department Sanjay Kumar Singh were also present on the occasion.
Among others present on the occasion included Vikas Singh, Rajesh Sao, Kishan Maharaj, Ashok Chouhan and Kanhaiyya Ojha.
