Jamshedpur: Saryu Roy defeated Minister Banna Gupta in the Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024 to reclaim the Jamshedpur West seat. This marks a major comeback for the Janata Dal United (JDU) in Jharkhand after five years.

Speaking on his victory, Roy expressed gratitude to voters and praised the efforts of the election management committee and party workers. “This victory belongs to the people who believed in change. Their trust motivates me to work harder for Jamshedpur West,” he stated.
